"Warner Bros"

Warner Brothers Entertainment, Inc. или просто Warner Brothers, съкратено Warner Bros. (произнася се Уорнър брадърс, но се среща още полу-транслитерирано като Уорнър Брос.) е една от най-големите компании за производство на филми и телевизионни предавания. Понастоящем е дъщерна компания на конгломерата Тайм Уорнър, с главна квартира в Бърбанк, Калифорния, САЩ. Компанията се управлява от Бари Майер - председател на борда на директорите. Други ключови фигури са Алън Хорн и Едуард Романо.

Компанията е основана от четирима братя: Хари Морис Уорнър (Harry Morris Warner (1881-1958)), Алберт Уорнър (Albert Warner (1884-1967)), Самюел Люис Уорнър (Samuel Lewis Warner (1887-1927)) и Джак Ленард Уорнър (Jack Leonard Warner (1892-1978)). Тримата по-възрастни братя са родени в Полша, а най-малкият в Канада и са с еврейски произход. Хари, Сам и Алберт откриват първия киносалон през 1903 година в Ню Касъл, Пенсилвания. През 20-те години те вече имат около 200 филма, и през 1927 година революционизират киното, като използват процес, при който гласовете и звуците са записани предварително и след това синхронизирани с филма. Това слага края на нямото кино. За първи път тази техника е използвана във филма "Джаз певецът" (The Jazz Singer (1927)), а първият им филм който е напълно озвучен е "Светлините на Ню Йорк" (Lights of New York (1928)).

През 1967 година последният останал жив брат, Джак, продава студиото и музикалния бизнес за 78 милиона долара на Seven Arts Productions, които го преименуват на Warner Bros.-Seven Arts.

В края на 90-те години компанията закупува правата на поредицата Хари Потър. Първата се излъчва през 2001, втората през 2002, третата - 2004, четвъртата - 2005, петата - 2007. Шестата поредица ще бъде излъчена през ноември 2008 година, а последната седма е предвидена за 2010.

На 4 януари 2008 година Warner Brothers обявяват подкрепата си за Blu-ray диск и заявяват, че няма да поддържат HD DVD след изтичане на контракта им с тях през май 2008 година.
