"Pixar Animation Studios"

Pixar Animation Studios е американско CGI студио за анимационни филми със седалище Емеривил, Калифорния, САЩ. Към днешна дата, студиото е спечелило 24 награди Оскар, 6 Златни глобуса и 3 награди Грами, както и много други награди, признания и постижения и е направило 5,50 милиарда долара в световен мащаб. То е едно от най-критично приветствани филмови студиа на всички времена и според Rotten Tomatoes, може би най-критично приветстваното студио на всички времена. Най-добре е известно със своите CGI-анимирани игрални филми, които са създадени с PhotoRealistic RenderMan, собствено изпълнение на индустриалния стандарт Renderman, който прави образи API използвани за производството на висококачествени изображения.

Pixar започна през 1979 г. като Graphics Group, част от компютърната дивизия на Lucasfilm, преди да бъде придобита от съоснователя на Apple Стив Джобс през 1986 година. Компанията "Уолт Дисни" закупи Pixar през 2006 година.

Pixar е произвел единадесет игрални филма, като се започне с Toy Story през 1995 г., всички от които са изпълнени с критични и търговски успехи. Pixar последван от Toy Story with A Bug's Life през 1998 г., Toy Story 2 през 1999 г., Monsters, Inc през 2001 г., Finding Nemo през 2003 г.
